About

Painting and drawing have always been a refuge of calm and reflection for me, but it is only in more recent years that I have returned to them more conscientiously, diving into technique and the history of art.

I like to experiment with a variety of mediums and subjects, but I do tend to find my strongest work is around the figure. At its core, my practice is about my observations of everyday life; the moments that make an impression on me when I’m on a walk with my family or sitting in a café on holiday. I capture these moments with the help of sketchbooks, photos and memory and bring them back to my studio to turn them into more refined pieces.

I don’t have a formal education in Art, but in many ways, this has allowed me the freedom to experiment at my own pace and truly unearth what inspires me.
